| This year the Reunion will be an Evening Cruise on the River Tyne SATURDAY 18TH JULY 2015 ~ 7.00pm - late! |
| We have chartered our own private cruiser on the River Tyne and will sail up stream for a short distance under the awarding winning Millennium Bridge and through the Swing Bridge both of which will open especially for us. Then we turn and head down stream to the mouth of the River Tyne, and then (assuming we have avoided the notorious black middens!) retrace our route back to the Newcastle Quayside. Bring your partner and make a weekend of it! |
| SATURDAY 18TH JULY 2015 - BE THERE! |
| We board the River Escapes Fortuna at 7.00pm and should be back at the quayside by 11.00pm although we will be able to stay on board until about midnight. What you can expect: A chance to mingle and chat with old friends. A great cruise along the Tyne. Excellent views of the stunning Newcastle Gateshead Quayside. Bridges opening just for you! The Swing Bridge buffet. Half a bottle of wine per person (or soft drinks). A licensed bar. Sunset over Tyneside (weather permitting!). What you won't get: Speeches! Loud music! As in 2010 we have dispensed with the formality of set tables and a sit down meal. There won't be any speeches or band playing so we will all be able to hear ourselves talking. |
