NEWCASTLE 75 REUNION THE CLASS OF 75 ~ 1975 - 2015
|
SATURDAY 18TH JULY 2015 - BE THERE!
|
40 years on - a lot balder, a lot greyer but hopefully a
lot wiser.
Planning to retire fully in 12 days 2 hours and 5
minutes time. General practice in Chester has been
very rewarding but I am glad I ditched full time
partnership some years ago to have a better work /
home life balance.
I have been able to pick up regular locum work in
recent years in local practices so I have been able to
concentrate on the part of the job I enjoy, the patient
care.
Now I am 65 the brain cells are starting to struggle
with the demands of updating, appraisal and
revalidation so it feels like the right time to move in to
the next phase of life - retirement.
I am fortunate to still have good health and to still be
with my lovely wife Kath who has supported me from
day 1 at medical school.

I am looking forward to playing more golf and to spend more time in our static caravan in the Lake District enjoying hill
walking, biking, canoeing and photography. We hope to see more of our 3 children and 3 grandchildren. I will be able to
brush up on my DIY skills now my son has just bought his first house in Manchester.
I am sorry to miss everyone at the reunion as Kath is having a heart valve refurbished just before but hope you have a
good time.
Best wishes to you all, Tony
