| I started my post house jobs career in psychiatry in London, then did vocational training in Welwyn Garden City and joined my first GP partnership in St Albans. Having my daughter Amy brought me back north and I have been in a dispensing rural practice in South west Durham for 32 years. I took my pension and went part time at 60 then retired from the practice last September. I always had other little jobs, genetics (thank you JB), A+E, police surgeon and for the last 6 years salaried in Urgent Care. This I continue at 30 hours a week and will do foreseeably for a while. I have horses, dogs, cats and a garden which I love, I see a lot of Amy who is a Physio in Leeds. I'm very keen to have grandchildren but still waiting...anyway looking forward to the next 40 years, maybe I'll make that reunion. Sorry not to be able to get to this one, hope it's great fun. |
