| Like many of you, I expect, I am slowly moving towards fuller retirement. Having retired from general practice in 2011, aged 60, I have now stopped working on the management side of the GP OOH service I set up 22 years ago. I continue as an Authorised Medical Examiner for the CAA working 1-2 days a week. As is often the case with retirees, I miss the routine and structure of a working day but not the work itself! I continue with my hobbies of flying, sailing and skiing when the bank balance permits. Nearly 7 years after treatment for Gleason 3+5 Ca prostate, back in 2008, my PSAs remain at undetectable levels. Jenny continues to work 2 days a week but is contemplating retirement too. The three children left home some time ago but we still see them on a regular basis. One married, one marrying next year and the third ‘a long way off marrying’ to quote my son – much too busy enjoying life! I look forward to meeting you all again at the reunion. |
