| Where do forty years go? Two-plus years into retirement I think I'm learning a few retirement skills--reading the book-club book in the morning without looking at the clock; saying yes to every attractive invitation (and no to others, which is a bit harder!), able to recognise quite a few species of birds and to strum a few tunes on the ukelele; and no longer missing general practice at all. I still miss our sons, all away in London or Glasgow with their lovely young ladies, but am ever grateful for my NHS pension and Senior Railcard which means that they're always within reach with a little planning!. Charles and I are enjoying ourselves and hope you are too! |
