I’m a fully retired person now as is my
wife Carolyn who was a full-time GP.
I don’t seem to be bored at all and have
plenty of time for hill-walking, cycling,
reading, theatre, sitting doing nothing
etc.
Our 2 boys both live in London so we
enjoy frequent visits to the smoke with
all the amazing variety of activities it has
to offer. We have a small cottage in
Ambleside in the Lake District which we
rent out but we are now able to use
much more for ourselves.
I’m in a choir, a walking group and a
gentleman’s book club (i.e. an eating
and drinking society)....just like a retired
person really.

Last year I cycled Land’s End to John o’Groats (in easy stages of a week at a time) and this year Carolyn and I are planning
to cycle East —> West (that’s Lowestoft to Ardamurchan Point in Scotland)…you have to do something with your time.
